Hello, and welcome to meganlouann! I’m happy to have you here.

A quick introduction: I’m a twenty-two year old college graduate of Northern Kentucky University. I studied biology with a concentration in genetics and cellular and molecular biology with minors in chemistry and Spanish. Whew. Sound like a lot? Maybe. But I loveeeee science, and speaking Spanish has become a part of who I am. Looking into the near future, I plan to get my teaching certification in both biology and Spanish. I currently work at an amazing Montessori school, and I can’t wait to have a classroom of my own one day!

I still live at home (saving that mula, man), and my best friends are my chihuahuas, Cooper and Charley. I’ve got two pretty awesome parents and a little sister who drives me nuts but makes me love her more than anyone in the world. I’m a proud member of Alpha Omicron Pi, and when I don’t have my nose in a book or when I’m not typing a new post, I’m most likely hanging out with some fabulous friends or playing the best sport in the world – volleyball!

So what’s a science nerd doing writing a blog? I just so happen to be a science nerd who really, really loves to write. I’ve been writing for “fun” per say since I was capable of writing. I used to write a lot of fiction short stories, but once I discovered blogging, I’ve never looked back.

Feel free to read through my posts to learn more about my journey as a twenty-something and my growth as a person in general.

I thank you in advance for taking the time to read, feel free to leave any questions or comments, and of course, as always…

Stay classy,

Megan LouAnn

  1. Hey Megan!
While I’m not a college student right now, I LOVE to learn. Period. In fact, I actually like reading heavy stuff (e.g., textbooks, academic websites) for fun. In fact, it may be safe to say I am a polymath, namely, one who knows substantial knowledge across many disciplines. (Also known as a “Renaissance man”) From cradle to grave, learning is part and parcel of who I am. I have marked interests in the sciences, but since I am not partial to anything, and I really don’t see myself doing scientific research, I pretty much just learn for learning’s sake, hopefully with applications, wisdom and perhaps even advice that may come forth from that. Thus, I prefer self-learning to schooling overall. As a youngish man of 26, I have many years to invest. And to top things off, as a strong Christian believer, I strive to keep God in the picture in whatever I do, all to His glory. (And yes, I do thank God for the talent of self-learning.)

    Glad to meet you Megan!
